Ben: Contrast

I took these shots of my older son Ben while we were at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos earlier this week. At this point, after nearly three days of swimming and speeding through water slides, he was utterly exhausted. I included the color photo simply to provide an additional contrast with the sepia-toned images, which I prefer. Luckily he's accustomed to having me snap away with a camera. (Yes, he has red hair, like a new copper penny.)

The color photo of Ben reminds me of a Renaissance painting, but I can't think of the name and haven't had time to look for it.

The mums, too - I would rush to buy them and feel I was carrying a fistful of stars home to decorate the table. Maybe Will Shakespeare's Titania would have them in her bower?

Wow is all I can say here. These are awesome photographs. I'm getting a vivid feel for Ben's personality from each of these. Unless I'm misreading the brooding, pensive intensity for sheer tiredness.
I hope you had a wonderful trip.
