Miscellaneous Photos

Now that it's warmer, I walk to work most days, trying to take different routes through Chelsea and the Flatiron district. With so much construction, renovation, and scaffolding going up and coming down, there are surprises nearly every day for those of us wielding cameras. The bronze BVM (an acronym for the Blessed Virgin Mary, according to my Catholic friends) is in the garden at St. Luke in the Fields. The old signs painted on brick are in Chelsea. I love these old ads, but so many of them are disappearing because of age and construction. Finally, the bar sign is in the Flatiron neighborhood, near Fifth Avenue.

Cool pictures, Brian. I envy you that walk to work every day. I only have two routes that I can take that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg in gas... Walking would be great tho', especially with so much to see.
BVM made me laugh. Sounds so... sacrilegious. Now I'm thinking of others (BOC, SOG, and others...)lol
(got some new songs up on the blog for your listening...)
