He bought property in Florida and spent his winters there. The rest of the year he traveled (accompanied by only his beloved dog) around the country in a Winnebago, parking for a couple of weeks here and there at his grown kids' homes. Always wanted to rent an RV but they're so expensive (for me). I did, however, come across a hotel-booking website that caters to domestic properties for budget-travelers.
